Sometimes the most memorable moments are the silent ones...
At one point everything put down in this drawing was part of my home at Magnolia Avenue. It's odd how changing the arrangement of your personal belongings also changes your interpretation of home. You suddenly find yourself missing the way your clothes used to look in your closet or where the loose change used to crowd. It seems that lately the few belongings I have are grumbling in their displaced places for some sweet, familiar dust.
This drawing was done while suckling on several Kawai Kanyu Drops. My sister and I grew up eating these Japanese fish oil vitamins and were allotted a maximum of two delicious drops per day when we were kids. I still get extremely excited whenever I see the little boy on the yellow tin can at a Japanese grocer. Anyhow, now that I'm old enough to purchase my own nutriments, I can finally exceed the recommended dosage.
